Ulto Pulto, the Nepali band from Biratnagar are very popular for their songs like Bachunjel Samma, Purana Kura, Sun Boksi, Samjhana Ko Lahara, and many more. For a few years, they were not really active in the music scene and weren’t making music but earlier in July 2021, they officially released their new track named Purana Kura. As of February of 2022, the official music video of ‘Purana Kura‘ has 200k+ views on YouTube alone.

Ulto Pulto is a band originating from Biratnagar. It consists of three members (Roit Jung Karki, Dewaj Thapa, Prithvi RBS Thapa) who are also cousins with a similar passion for music and the same drive to create melodies that have inspired and drawn them towards the world of music. They have created tunes transcending various genres from folk-rock to electro-acoustic with songs like Bachunjel Samma, Purana Kura, Sun Boksi, Samjhana Ko Lahara giving them although small but a supportive nationwide fanbase. Pahenlo Batti Muni is a five-member band that plays experimental rock. Through their songwriting and music, Pahenlo Batti Muni tries to make sense of the worlds around and within themselves. Formed in October of 2015, Pahenlo Batti Muni is Bikram Bashyal in the Guitar, Kus KC on Bass, Lav Jung Chhetri on Drums, Pravesh Thapa Magar on Guitars, and Rochak Dahal on the Vocals. Growing up in Nepal during decades of darkness when daily power cuts had become a forced way of life, vocalist Rochak Dahal and guitarist Pravesh Thapa Magar often jammed under the candle’s yellow light, back when the band was beginning to take shape. The name of the band is derived partly from this. And the band also believes that one genre of music cannot portray all the emotions a human can have, so the band tries and experiments with what they can create.
