The band was initially formed in the year 1998. Although many members have changed in the band from their initial days the frontman and singer for the band is still one of its founding members, Sareen Deoja. The current lineup for the band is Sareen Deoja on vocals, Gautam Tandukar on drums, Jenish Maharjan on bass, and Dipesh Shrestha on guitars. The band Monkey Temple released their fourth official album in May 2019 titled ‘Ajambari‘. The song ‘Mero Maya‘ was released officially on 18th March 2022 (Friday).
